Great video how diamonds are cut

Diamonds:
Definitely the most sought after element in jewellery. Why? Well they symbolize such elusive objects such as stars "I offer you a star". They are extremely resilient and offer the parallel symbolism of everlasting love and longevity of matrimony. Expensive? You bet. We're often reminded of the Bride Price system. It's almost as if the price of the diamond represents the sacrifice of several cows or sheep to the brides ( or the brides family in days of old). We would never suggest how much you should spend. It is all relative to your personal priorities, and where you are in life. Newly-weds often shoulder the most, since they are usually young and have a long time to pay it off helped by the inflationary power of future wages. Older folks often have money set aside for such a treat. We love seeing the look of joy on our clients faces when they walk out of Ferguson's Jewellery with such a great family heirloom.

Internet Diamonds:
Considering buying your Diamond on the net? Most jewellers will still be happy to sell you the mount and set your Internet diamond. If however any chippage of the diamond occurs, as often happens, it is generally not the responsibility of that jeweller to reimburse you. In many cases it is safer to buy directly from the jeweller who is also selling you the ring - even if it turns out to be more expensive. If you decide to go the Internet route anyway, it may be prudent to insure your diamonds before a jeweller works on them. Many jewellers will charge a surchage to set diamonds purchased somewhere else.

Synthetic Diamonds vs. "Simulated" fake diamonds.

Wholesale:
What really is wholesale?
Dictionary; Wholesale -The sale of products, often in large quantities, to retailers or other merchants.
Are you a retailer or a merchant? Most likely not. So is it possible for the average consumer to buy wholesale goods? By definition, a resounding no. The company you are buying from has to make a profit to stay in business, if you find something less expensive at one establishment, then it is very likely that they have sacrificed some profit to gain you as a client. In my opinion the term "wholesale to the public" is a bit deceitful. Unfortunately many shops, to stay competitive, feel forced to continue to use the term.
